line of site

project description

Serving as an extension of New York’s High Line, this proposed work of architecture integrates greenery and non-native gardens into the city in a more unconventional and interactive manner.

LINE OF SITE consists of six towering greenhouses that emerge through a faceted, undulating roof surface. Each is responsible for the growth and incubation of plants that produce a particular color dye. The dye-producing flora is grown, harvested, refined, and utilized all within the same building to establish a salon that provides naturally-dyed hair and tattooing services.
